Let's start a conversation about Mental Health. Did you know that your feelings are valid!! Having a mental illness is not a personal failure. It does not define you as a person. Often people feel embarressed to say they have a mental illness. Your guarded thoughts are your own worst enemy and will cause harm. When you worry, you start to misuse your imagination. We need much more openness, transparency, and understanding thay its ok to talk about depression as an illness and not as a weakness. I think it is extremely important to de-stigmatize all forms of mentally illness. We know that its not something that happens to only other people, but it touches us all. The fact is, there are a lot of people carrying around guilt, shame, and baggage for their "shtuff" that doesn't really matter. Everybody is going through something, or has had something that they have overcome. This illness cannot be seen, its hidden really well, but its extremely common and really hard to bear and it grows into a burden. You will have no health without your mental health. It is too important to be left unattended. I truly wish that people could understand that the brain is the most important organ of the body.
